First of all, a game tester does not play every game he wants nor he plays the game the way he wants to. His job is to play the beta versions and pre release games. Everybody thinks this is a wonderful way to make money and play video games. A video game tester has some well designed duties. He has to look for bugs/errors that particular game and he deals with level design or game structure.

Another thing that everybody is interested in is: Do the video game testers play any game they want? Let’s say you are a fan of Game “abc” and your job is to search for bugs in the upcoming game “abc 2″. After playing hours and hours the same levels, looking for all kinds of wrong things/bugs/glitches/errors, not only you know how the game is going to be and you will know what it will happen in the game story, but you will also find the game too boring to play when it will be released. That particular game will not represent an attraction for you as it would have had if you weren’t a game tester.
